You won't be feeling blue when you try this wonderful creation! It's fast, delicious and defintitely something new. Courtesy of Devyn R. Vick for this delightful dish.
Blue Cheese Pasta
1 block of blue cheese
1/4 cup white milk
4 Italian sausages
1/2 red pepper (diced)
2 tbsp minced garlic
1/3 package linguini
There are 3 main steps, if you have an extra hand in the kitchen, USE IT!
1. Pour half of the milk into the bottom of a small saucepan. Add the cheese and turn on low heat. Whisk cheese and milk continutally, adding milk as sauce thickens. Make sure to whisk constantly or else the sauce will burn!
2. In a frying pan, combine italian sausage, red pepper and garlic. Sauté until peppers and soft and sausage is cooked.
3. In pot, cook pasta until al dente. Adding the salt and olive oil REALLY HELPS!
4. Once pasta is cooked, combine the sauce and sausage/peppers/garlic. Toss. Serve immediately with parmasean cheese!
This tastes fantastic when eaten as a leftover. It is a little less potent for those who can't handle the blue cheese.
Enjoy!
